Jan Brown is a beach girl who grew up on the
Victorian coast. After traveling overseas and in
Australia she discovered Kuranda in Tropical
North Queensland. It was here the early 1980s
that Jan took up jewelery making with a jeweller
named Gonzo.
25 years later she has become a popular local
jeweller who loves her gemstones and bulky
silver designs but is most happy to work in fine
piece-work , mixing up stones and beads and
gold for you.
Jan has a studio and shop in the famous Original
Kuranda Markets called Bejewelled and she can
be found there Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Sundays or by appointment. Here you can find
her work for sale and also many precious stones
that she has collected over the years.
Jan does commissions and can work with you on
your designs using stones from her collections or
stones you have already have.
She also teaches introductory jewelery classes.
